Buddha Head Sculpture Carved in Old Wood H:42 cm No:014

This Buddha head sculpture is totally unique. It is hand carved out of tamarind wood by a talented master sculptor from the Angkor Temples area, carefully detailed with artisanal oil paint produced by us using only natural raw material. After several coats of this unique oil paint, 7 to 10 layers of natural vegetable lacquer are applied. The sculpture is then gilded in gold leaf by master artisans over several days. We apply a final layer of natural vegetable lacquer and finish with a thin coat of refined clay to produce a truly unique and authentic finish. Each hand-crafted piece takes several weeks to produce, resulting in one-of-a-kind works of artisanal Cambodian art.
